Ministers of the Word

Our pastors are specially trained and experienced men of God who serve the congregation as ministers of Christ. As shepherds of the flock of God they focus particularly on feeding, protecting, and comforting believers with God's Word. Our pastors are also men of compassion and wisdom. They have many years of experience in tending Christ's flock. They bring unique abilites to provide counsel to marriages, families, and individuals who are struggling with sin and other maladies of the soul. Not only do our pastors have substantial seminary training in theology but they also serve at City Seminary of Sacramento. You will be deeply enriched and engaged by the combined gifts our our pastors as they unfold to you the riches of God's infallible Word.

A Minister of the Word is a member of the Church, called by Christ to the ministry of reconciliation, and ordained and consecrated by prayer and the laying on of hands to preach the Gospel, to exercise pastoral oversight, to dispense the holy sacraments, in conjunction with the elders to administer Christian discipline, and to give himself wholly to the service of Christ in His Church. (Constitution, Article 27)
