We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father; God of God, Light of Light, true God of true God; begotten not made, of the same essence as the Father; through whom all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation, He came down from heaven, was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and became man. He was also crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried. The third day He rose again according to the Scriptures, ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father. He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom shall have no end.

And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, and giver of life. He proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is together worshiped and glorified, who spoke by the prophets.

We believe one holy catholic and apostolic church. We affirm one baptism for the remission of sins. And we look for the resurrection of the dead, and life in the ages to come.
